Description of Chapter:
The Delta Chi chapter of Delta Delta Delta Delta prides itself on being a diverse and inclusive body within the Greek community here at Denison. Tridelts are involved in many campus teams and groups, and are encouraged to pursue leadership roles in and out of the house.Delta Delta Delta is the only sorority at Denison that gives new members the opportunity to hold an officer position during their first semester in the house, giving girls the opportunity to be involved from the start. Denison Tridelts hold various fundraisers throughout the year to benefit our philanthropy, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In the spring of 2008, Tri Delta was joined by Sig Ep Fraternity to host the first annual Foursquare for St. Jude competition, successfully raising over $28,000 for the hospital. Tri Delta actively supports other campus fraternities and sororities in all of their philanthropic endeavors. Tri Delta has won Delta Gamma’s Anchorsplash for the past three years in a row, and a Tridelt won Delta Chi Fraternity’s Rock Beats Cancer competition this past year. This past spring, Delta Delta Delta was praised at Denison’s Greek awards, receiving awards for excellence in commitment to philanthropy, academic development, self-governance, and leadership, as well as an honorable mention for commitment to lifetime membership.
